The curriculum at IU East High School is designed to lead students towards achieving Honors Plus Seals in both the Enrollment and Employment categories while offering an intentionally rigorous, college-immersive experience. Students begin dual-enrollment (dual-credit) coursework in their freshman year guided and supported by high school staff while also completing high school courses necessary for their diploma. As students progress, collegiate-level coursework increases as does students’ ability to begin building their own pathway forward to pursue their unique strengths and interests. Learning throughout, however, is rooted in cross-curricular and project-based models, leading to enhanced student engagement, greater connections, and deeper learning.
The following maps out the base curriculum designed to lead students to earning both the Enrollment and Employment Honors Plus Seals. Individual student plans will vary in order to meet the unique needs and interests of each student.
