IU East Community Sponsorships

IU East is proud to support the communities we serve throughout our regional service area. Each year, we receive requests from community organizations for sponsorship support in the form of events such as dinners, runs/walks, health fairs, educational initiatives, or advertisements.

While we value the opportunity to partner with local organizations, please note that funds are limited and not all requests can be approved. Sponsorships must align with IU East’s mission, vision, values, and strategic priorities.

Sponsorship Criteria

IU East considers sponsorship requests based on alignment with our mission and the value provided to the communities we serve.

• Alignment with IU East’s mission, vision, and strategic priorities
• Community benefit and impact
• History of IU East’s involvement with the organization or event
• Current engagement of IU East students, employees, donors, or advisors
• Opportunity for IU East visibility (marketing, academic mission, or onsite participation)
• Audience reach within IU East’s service area (students, prospective students, families)
• Overall promotional value and positive community image

📌 IU East cannot fund individual fundraising efforts (e.g., registration fees, uniforms, personal travel).

📌 Requests must be submitted at least 8 weeks in advance.

Sponsorship Approval Process

1. All requests must be submitted through the Community Event/Project Sponsorship Request Form.
2. Requests should be submitted 10–12 weeks before the event; requests received with less than 8 weeks’ notice may not be considered.
3. Requests are reviewed by the IU East Office of External Affairs in consultation with campus leadership.
4. Decisions will be communicated directly to the requesting organization.
5. Sponsorship funds are limited and not all requests can be approved.

How to Submit a Request

1. Review the Sponsorship Criteria to confirm alignment with IU East’s mission and priorities.
2. Complete the online Community Event/Project Sponsorship Request Form [insert link].
3. Upload supporting materials (sponsorship packet, event details, promotional opportunities, etc.) when submitting the form.
