Hi, I’m Kayla Anderson. I am a registered nurse at IU Health Ball Memorial Hospital on the Oncology unit. I have worked there since February 2015 and I have loved every minute so far. I have experienced and learned so much in that short time and I can’t wait to gain more experience in the future. I graduated from Ivy Tech Community College in 2010 with an ASN. I first began working as an RN on the Medical Diabetes Unit until I followed my husband in his military career. Since coming home to Indiana I have returned to school to earn my BSN from IU East. I am eager to take this education and apply it to my current career. I have learned so much already and know there are many more great things to experience, especially on this trip to London. We have many interesting things planned for the trip. Tourist destinations such as Tower of London, Buckingham Palace, The London Eye, Big Ben, etc., are definitely on my must-see list, but I am extremely excited about visiting Trinity Hospice. End of life care is an interesting topic to me. I am sure I will be able to take so much from this encounter. This is a once in a lifetime experience and I feel very blessed to be apart of it!
