Hello everyone! My name is Mackenzie Boles and I am a first-year SGA member. I will graduate this year with a B.S. in Human Life Science and plan to attend a Physician Assistant Program starting this summer. Fun fact: I am a member of the Track and Field team here at IU East, and we are always on the run! Our first indoor meet will be held at UINDY on Saturday, December 3^rd!

Last week, the election events held outside the Graf were a HUGE hit! The SGA sponsored T shirts were gone in a flash, and patriotism was at an all-time high prior to the election on Tuesday, November 8^th.

Did you vote Rufus for President? A big thank you to everyone who had a part in making this years homecoming such a success. Everyone who participated did a great job, but we want to throw out a HUGE congratulations to the talent show’s first-place winner, Daniel Flesher! Each year SGA sponsors the first place prize, up to $500 in text books from the IUE book store. Sign up and show off your talent next year for your chance to win!

Presently, the Food PantryChallenge is still underway and will officially end on Friday, November 18^th. Don’t forget to bring in your food items by the end of the week to help your school win! More importantly, however, please donate to help your peers during this holiday season.

If you would like to hear more about the Student Government Association here at IU East, catch us at our last official meeting of the year Tuesday, November 15^th from 3:30-5 in the Campus Life Conference Room. Oh, and by the way, special guest Chancellor Cruz-Uribe will be in attendance!
