A Word from the Editor-in-Chief

Hello, blog-readers! 

I’m Olivia Ryckman, Tributaries’ 2022 Editor-in-Chief. I’m from the small town of Connersville, Indiana. I graduated from IU East in December 2020 with my BA in English with a concentration in Creative Writing and a minor in Technical and Professional Writing. Currently, I’m a graduate student at IU East earning my MA in English. 

I’m so excited to be the Editor-in-Chief this year! I get to lead a wonderful and talented editorial staff who I’ve grown close to in the last year. I’m looking forward to what writing this year brings. The world has experienced a lot recently, and I’d love to see submissions that reflect our changing lives. Anything real, raw, and haunting. We’ve already accepted some great pieces, so I’m stoked to consider more.
