Your IU East Campus Library staff is knowledgeable, friendly, and eager to help you succeed in all your academic endeavors. The start of a new semester is a good opportunity to introduce you to the many people who are available to assist you in a variety of ways.
Matt Dilworth earned a BA in English from Earlham and a Masters in Library Science (MLS) from IU Bloomington. He has worked at IU East for 10 years and is the Coordinator of Reference and Media. You have questions? He has answers! You need reliable resources for a research paper? He can help you find them!
Marcia Sloan is our Inter-library loan specialist. If there is a book or article we don’t have at IU East, she can locate it, within the State, or around the world! We like to call Marcia “Queen of the Quest” and she is very good at finding what you need, and doing it efficiently, with the least amount of turnaround time possible. Marcia has worked at IU East since 1992.
Lajmar Anderson has come full circle. He graduated with a BS in Psychology from right here at IU East, then went on to earn an MLS at IUPUI. He worked at Ball State for several years, in access services and archives, and now is back at IU East (lucky for us!). Lajmar is the Coordinator of Instruction and Service-Learning and administrator for “libguides.” His focus is information literacy and teaching students how to locate and evaluate reliable academic resources.
Beth Brockman is the newest addition to the library staff. She had a double undergraduate major, in English and History at Purdue. In 2012 she graduated with an MLS and MLIS from IU Bloomington. Beth supervises the circulation operations, so if you have a fine, she’s the one you want to be nice to! Her title is Coordinator of User Services, which includes facilities, budget, and archives.
Ann Tobin has two important roles. She serves as evening library supervisor and also is campus/community liaison for service-learning. Ann helps develop new and maintains continuing partnerships with local organizations and projects, to help students become engaged citizens.
Lora Baldwin is library liaison for Business, Social Work, Social Sciences, and the distance campuses (Lawrenceburg, Connersville, New Castle). She graduated with her MLS from IUPUI. Lora co-teaches a for-credit information literacy course.
Sue McFadden earned her MLS from IU Bloomington. She serves as library liaison for Nursing, Informatics and NSM and coordinates our campus participation in the IU Scholar repository. Sue co-teaches a for-credit information literacy course.
As Library Director my primary goal is to ensure high-quality customer service, reliable and professional resource-sharing, and a library environment conducive to study.
