Important Changes Coming to Interlibrary Loan!

The library’s interlibrary loan system, ILLiad is getting a major upgrade. We are changing to a new, online platform, ILLiad 2.0.

ILLiad 2.0 will have a brand new user interface that will be easier to place requests, access and manage your requests, and update your account details or communication preferences. The overall process, on the library’s end, will be much more streamlined as well.

We hope that this new system will make your interlibrary loan service much more enjoyable. For instance, there will be an option to renew online, through your login, so you no longer have to contact the ILL specialist to renew for you. You click the renew option and the request will go directly to the lending library for them to respond. This will get your request processed much more quickly.

We are starting fresh, so if you currently have an account with ILLiad, you will be required to create a new account with ILLiad 2.0, once the new system is in place.

You will still be able to access your old account in ILLiad for 30 days, so if you have any outstanding article requests, you will be able to access them.

We are planning to go live Monday, June 5th, so be ready! We are very excited about this new system and we think you will be too. If you have any questions or concerns about this upcoming change, please contact ILL specialist Beth South at iueill@iue.edu or call at 765-973-8204.
