Renewals & Returns

account, bookdrop, books April 24, 2020 books, ILL, Jesse Whitton, Library Services mdilwort

Do you have IU East Campus Library books that need to be returned or renewed? There are several options available. You can renew your books online, email iueref@iue.edu, return your books via the Library Book Drop that is located on the circle drive between Whitewater and Springwood, or mail the books to campus via USPS “Media” mail.  For details, keep reading….

Renew books online

The first step is to go to iucat.iu.edu. In the top right-hand side, you will see a green bar that says “Sign in.” Once you use your IU credentials, you will be logged into your library account.

Once you log in, your screen will look like this.

Here you will find several pieces of useful information about your library account.

  • #1 is a list of all the material currently checked out to you
  • #2 is the “Renew All Items” button which allows you to renew all your material at once.
  • #3 is the “Renew” button that appears by each item. This allows you to renew each item individually.

** Please note that items checked out through Inter-Library Loan will not appear on this list. If you need to request a renewal for an ILL item, you can do so by logging into your ILL account here or by contacting Matt Dilworth at mdilwort@iue.edu.

Mailing books

Send to:

Indiana University East Campus Library

2325 Chester Blvd.

Richmond, IN 47374

The least expensive way to mail is via USPA “Media” mail, so be sure to tell the postal clerk that you are sending books.

As always, you are more than welcome to contact us iueref@iue.edu or by clicking the ASK US! Red button on the libraries website https://www.iue.edu/library, and we will be glad to renew your materials for you. And if your books are late, no worries – we are waiving overdue fines.
