To celebrate multicultural learning, several campus partners are collaborating to creatively document the international educational experiences of IU East students. The Campus Library, World Languages and Cultures Department, Anthropology faculty and students, and the Office of Diversity and Inclusion are highlighting the global perspectives gained by students who participate in international study. A sneak peek of the “Indiana University East Goes Global” StoryMap will be featured during International Education Week (IEW) and Geography Awareness Week. Archives provide entry to a history of treasures that document people, places, and events. In addition to physical archives, many open-access archives are available, ranging in topics from government and historical documents found at the National Archives, to code making and breaking in the Cryptology ePrint Archives, and historical children’s books available via the Baldwin Library of Historical Children’s Literature. To celebrate Campus Sustainability Month, with the goal of raising the visibility and deepening engagement with sustainability on college campuses, the IU East Campus Library is highlighting equitable access to educational resources. Featured here are Open Access resources, supporting the UN’s Sustainable Development Goal #4: Ensure inclusive and equitable quality education and promote lifelong learning opportunities for all. Open Access provides free online access to the results of scholarly research, and the right to use and re-use those results as needed. Media Literacy Week, hosted by National Association for Media Literacy Education, will be held from Monday, October 24 to Friday, October 28.  Now in its eighth year, Media Literacy Week is intended to promote the important role of media literacy in education today.
