It’s a new semester, a new year, and the library is continuing its mission to collect oral histories from IU East alumni and retired faculty for the IU Bicentennial and IU East archives! We are a few years away from celebrating 200 years of IU history, as well as IU East’s 50th anniversary, but it is never too early to start preserving and collecting all the unique and interesting stories from so many different members of the IU family. Collecting Our History

As part of IU’s Bicentennial efforts, every campus is collecting oral histories from their alumni, creating a large and lasting archive of what life was like for our students and what IU has meant in their lives. But since IU East’s 50th Anniversary is also approaching, we are seeking to create a more comprehensive collection of oral histories, including alumni, faculty, staff, administrators, and allies in the community. Hello! My name is Cassidy Clouse; I’m the bicentennial intern at IU East this semester. I’m an Honors student double majoring in Psychology and Human Life Science with minors in Chemistry and Neuroscience, and after graduation I will attend graduate school to obtain my PsyD. On campus I am a student ambassador, Supplemental Instructor for Physics, Treasurer of Student Government Association, Vice President of Psychology Club, and Secretary of the service-learning Circle K Club. My main purpose as the bicentennial intern is to document IU East history.
