Do you have IU East Campus Library books that need to be returned or renewed? There are several options available. You can renew your books online, email iueref@iue.edu, return your books via the Library Book Drop that is located on the circle drive between Whitewater and Springwood, or mail the books to campus via USPS “Media” mail. Welcome to all our new students, and to our returning students, welcome back! As you enjoy your ice cream, pancakes, movies, and other Back with the Pack activities, you’ll quickly be settling into a routine of coursework, study, research, and writing. And the library is a vital part of that – not just later, when things are coming due, but right now, at the beginning of the semester – whether you need scholarly resources, computers, a place to print out your syllabi (remember to bring your new Crimson Card, available in room 109), or just a quiet place to study. Request Delivery and Interlibrary Loan

A new semester is about to begin and the IU East library has all the resources you need. However, if there is something we don’t have, there are a couple of ways you can get it. There is a great chance that if the IU East library doesn’t house a book you need, another IU library does. There is an option in IUCat to search all the IU libraries and to have one of their books be delivered here to the IU East Campus Library. You can always select the “All IUCat” option when searching for book titles and if the IU East campus copy is not available, then you can select the “Request This” button and request the pickup … Continued

Important Changes Coming to Interlibrary Loan!

The library’s interlibrary loan system, ILLiad is getting a major upgrade. We are changing to a new, online platform, ILLiad 2.0. ILLiad 2.0 will have a brand new user interface that will be easier to place requests, access and manage your requests, and update your account details or communication preferences. The overall process, on the library’s end, will be much more streamlined as well. We hope that this new system will make your interlibrary loan service much more enjoyable. For instance, there will be an option to renew online, through your login, so you no longer have to contact the ILL specialist to renew for you.
