Electronic records are a major part of our personal and professional lives, from the creative and academic work we publish online via journals, blogs, and social media platforms to the meeting minutes and published policies of individual groups, committees, and organizations. The majority of work is now online and we need to act in order to preserve it, the same as for physical materials. There is even an official day to recognize the importance of electronic records – Electronic Records Day, celebrated annually in October. Library Resource: HeinOnline Trial

Since Fall 2020, the Campus Library has had a trial of the database HeinOnline. We have had some good usage of the database, but our trial will end on June 30th so we want to remind IU East-affiliated students and faculty that they can use it until then. HeinOnline has a lot of similarities to NexisUni, with a large emphasis on state and federal case law. It provides 300+ years of information on political development and the complete history of the creation of government and legal systems around the world. New Digitized Collections and Archival Highlights

The Athletics Collection, The Joe Longstreth Radio Show, and the story of the Transgender Singing Voice Conference The IU East Campus Library has two very different, but incredibly interesting collections to highlights. One is new and one is rediscovered, and we also have a new oral history in the LGBTQ+ collection. All these audiovisual collections are accessible in Media Collections Online (MCO).
