A+ for 10 Years of Service-learning
Service-learning is a teaching and learning strategy that connects academic curriculum to community problem-solving. At IU East, the Center for Service Learning (CSL) provides dynamic opportunities for fulfilling the vision “to enrich the campus and community through educationally meaningful service that helps students become socially responsible citizens.” Service-learning aligns with the IU 2030 Strategic Plan, Pillar 3, “Service to Our State and Beyond” as well as the IU East Campus Strategic Plan, with the objective to increase impact within the community by facilitating and supporting connections among community partners, students, faculty, and staff.
