Center Walking Paths
Employees are encouraged to walk the well-marked Cross Country track on campus. For those who prefer the even terrain of a sidewalk, we have a one-mile walking path and a half-mile walking path, conveniently located to utilize for mind/body breaks throughout your day. Maps of the trails are also available in the Center for Health Promotion. Please note: The one-mile and half-mile paths may change as campus renovations continue.
Use of Graf Fitness Center is free for IUE employees. The modern facility offering a variety of strength-training and brand new cardiovascular equipment. Fitness consultants are on-hand to help you exercise safely and reach your fitness goals. The Graf Fitness Center is located in Springwood Hall and is open Monday - Thursday 8:00 AM to 7:00 PM, Friday 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM, Saturday 9:00 AM to 1:00 PM.

Employee Assistance Program (EAP)
Learn more about receiving professional and confidential counseling services through IU EAP. IU EAP provides employees with up to six IU-paid counseling sessions per year to cope with stress that interrupts day-to-day activities.
Nursing Mothers' Room
IU provides a privacy room to support staff who are breastfeeding mothers. Each room is secure, clean, and easy to use. Rooms are equipped with TV/VCR, videos on breastfeeding, books and pamphlets on various parenting topics, couch, and office desk and chair set. Rooms are located in the basement of Hayes Hall.
Tobacco Cessation
IU employee medical plans cover 100 percent of the cost of tobacco cessation prescription and over-the-counter tobacco replacement products. Coverage is limited to a 180-day supply per covered individual per year. Covered prescriptions drugs include Chantix, Zyban (bupropion), and Nicotrol. Over-the-counter products require a prescription in order to be covered under the employee’s medical plan. Anyone enrolled in an IU-sponsored medical plan is eligible.
The Weight Talk Program helps participants learn the skills to achieve and maintain a healthy weight for life. The program lasts six months. Expert guidance is provided throughout the program through phone and online interactions with a personal, dedicated coach, registered dietitians, and fitness specialists who are highly trained in motivating behavior change, exercise, and healthy eating. To enroll, visit Weight Talk Program or call 1-855-948-8255. Full-time Academic and Staff employees and spouses who are enrolled in an IU-sponsored medical plan are eligible to participate.
