Academic Advising

The mission of academic advising at Indiana University East is to support students in campus based and online programs as they develop, pursue, and achieve academic and professional goals through one-on-one success coaching, ongoing outreach, and partnerships with other offices. Advisors meet with students during advising meetings each semester from orientation to graduation and conduct proactive outreach and communication throughout the academic year. Advisors connect students to campus resources and services while helping them navigate new challenges, academic policies, degree requirements, and related financial aid programs. Advisors also help students develop educational and career goals and remove or overcome any barriers to success on their path to degree completion.
