IU East does not require, but strongly recommends, that you receive the immunizations listed below (to comply with the IU Management of Infectious and Communicable Disease policy). Your school or program of study may require immunization compliance, which will be communicated to you by the school.
Your role in creating a safer, healthier IU
Recommended immunizations:
- measles (requires two immunizations)
- rubella (German measles, requires two immunizations)
- mumps (requires two immunizations)
- tetanus-diphtheria-acellular pertussis (Tdap)
- varicella (requires two immunizations)
- meningitis (one dose of MenACWY (MCV4)) on or after the student’s 16th birthday if aged 21 years old or younger
- meningitis B (two doses of MenB for students aged 23 years old or younger)
- hepatitis B vaccine (requires three immunizations; available at the Center for Health Promotion)
