Get Involved!

There are many opportunities to become involved in campus life and the local community through activities, organizations, leadership programs and student government. The staff in Office of Campus Life serve as educators, advisors, program planners and event coordinators, who are available to help you make the most of your college experience. Through involvement, you can gain valuable leadership skills, meet new friends, create and build upon campus traditions, and learn to develop the campus and local communities.

Formally registering your organization with campus life can help you with more exposure but also provide you with a number of resources to integrate into the campus community. Registration will also allow you to do on-campus fundraising and make use of campus facilities.

For help in organizing a new student organization at IU East, please contact the Office of Campus Life.

Student Government Association

The IU East Student Government Association (SGA) serves to promote student interests, needs and welfare within the University community and fosters relationships between the students, the faculty, and the administration. Also, SGA serves to ensure a positive campus environment and to provide for the expression of student opinion.

SGA membership consists of representatives from each school. Nominations occur each Spring.
