Applications for grants up to $5,000 are currently being accepted for: Overseas Research Grants for faculty members to conduct research abroad. IU Conference and Workshop Grants for faculty members who conduct conferences or workshops on international subjects at IU. Language Learning Grants to support faculty members in undertaking intensive language programs in the US or abroad. Applicants must be tenured or tenure-track IU faculty. Funding Sources
- Limited Submission
Limited Submission requires an internal review and selection process for any funding opportunity that specifies limits to the number of pre-proposal or proposal submissions; the internal review is necessary in order to determine which proposal will represent the University in regional, national or international competitions. Before applying for an opportunity with limited submission requirements, applicants must follow the limited submission process to secure authorization from the Office of the Vice Provost for Research to submit on behalf of Indiana University. These limited submission opportunities will be announced via email notification to Deans of Schools within IU East. - COS Homepage
COS (formerly known as Community of Science) provides a database of funding opportunities, electronic funding alerts, and expertise searching capabilities. This service is provided to Indiana University faculty, staff and students through a paid subscription. - Catalog of Federal Domestic Assistance
The online Catalog of Federal Domestic Assistance gives you access to a database of all Federal programs available to State and local governments (including the District of Columbia); federally -recognized Indian tribal governments; Territories (and possessions) of the United States; domestic public, quasi-public, and private profit and nonprofit organizations and institutions; specialized groups; and individuals. The IRIS Database currently contains over 8,600 active federal and private funding opportunities in the sciences, social sciences, arts, and humanities. In addition to funding opportunities for faculty, the IRIS Database also contains fellowships and scholarships for grad students and undergrads. Users can search IRIS by sponsor, deadline date, keyword, and other criteria. Most IRIS records contain live links to sponsor Web sites, electronic forms, or Electronic Research Administration (eRA) portals. The IRIS Database is updated daily.
