IU East welcomes new director of Gift Development

Indiana University East will soon have a new director of Gift Development. Paula Kay King of Centerville, Ind., will begin at IU East on Monday, March 23.PaulaKayKing

Vice Chancellor for External Affairs Jason Troutwine said, “As an IU East graduate, Paula Kay knows our campus and the important role we play in our region. She has been actively involved in our community for several years and brings a great deal of energy and professionalism to this position. I am confident she will do wonderful things for IU East.”

As the gift development director, King will lead IU East’s overall fundraising initiatives, foster relationships with alumni and friends of the campus and develop philanthropic support for campus initiatives, programs, and scholarships.

“I am honored to be given the opportunity to serve my alma mater in this role. Indiana University East has grown significantly over the past decade and continues to have an exciting future. I am eager to make a positive contribution in the ongoing success of IU East,” King said.

Currently, King is the director of Digital & Business Development at Brewer Broadcasting Corporation where she develops marketing strategies by helping local businesses increase their online presence with digital products and services. During her time there, she served as the director of sales and internet development, an account executive, general sales manager and general manager.

King received her Bachelor of Science in Business Administration with a Concentration in Marketing in 2005. A native of Richmond, King has served several community organizations including Reid Hospital & Health Care Services’ Red Dress Ball and Reid Ride, Toys for Tots’ Kash for Kids, and she is a former member of the Wayne County American Red Cross and the Wayne County Area Chamber of Commerce Buy Local committee.
