What will Fall 2020 look like?

Red Wolves! We've got this!!!

You know it better than anyone...IU East specializes in a flexible experience! For many years, IU East has offered students options of on-campus and online courses - this will remain the case. And, you all know that means flexibility in your schedule.

To ensure everyone's health and safety, we've increased the number of online classes this semester. But, no matter what... if you're on-campus or online...your experience will be a great one.

Faculty are going to be accessible in more ways than ever—Zoom, email, Canvas, and in-person office hours. Our faculty have been teaching on-campus and online for years...We’re ready for you!

Registration & Class Schedules

We are ready and excited to welcome you to the fall semester. There will be on-campus and online classes. Classes that occur on campus will be delivered in a manner that ensures everyone’s health and safety. Online faculty are prepared to do what they do well – instruct online. Classes are scheduled to begin on August 24. All on-campus classes will move all-online after Thanksgiving week. More information can be found at

Good communication with you is important. We will contact you, through your IU email, about any course changes or transitions.

The changes do not impact any holds you may have on your account.  If you have questions about a hold on your account, please visit for more information. (Note: IU East does not have holds on student accounts regarding immunization.)

Yes, IU East will offer face-to-face and online courses for the fall 2020 semester. If the classes you need are available online, you can enroll for the course. On-campus courses will proceed under recommended physical distancing guidelines. International students may have specific requirements related to on-campus courses and should check with their advisor to ensure academic requirements are met.

In an effort to maintain physical distancing, we encourage individual or group meetings to be held online, over the phone, or through email when possible. However, we also know that sometimes it's necessary to meet face-to-face. In those instances, we encourage you to call ahead or make an appointment with your faculty member, advisor, or the staff member you are wishing to contact. It's also important to know that a few offices may continue to work remotely throughout the semester. Please know these offices and staff members continue to work hard to meet your needs. We really are Ready for YOU!
